        Stop Yell aims at renaming the filenames for their better readability. It is a feature rich, flexible, customizable yet very easy to use utility. Using it, you can easily correct the miXEd cAPs of your filenames, remove extra spaces, replace or remove character/words, produce automatic filename series, produce filenames from MP3 tags, remove digits and more ! It has a detailed and non-programmer friendly logging system and a fast undo feature. You can even maintain a list of your favorites. Best of all...its FREE !

According to the conventional laws of the cyber era, any text written in ALL CAPS is considered to be yelling at the reader, and is even deemed ungraceful and indecent.

The idea is that if you happen to have files which have a bad mix of CAPS and small letters, thereby making them UNreaDAble, then Stop Yell is for you.

Corrects filenames logically or physically to improve their readability. It can correct filename case, capitalize Each Word, remove extra spaces, remove or replace any unwanted characters and much more !

Stop Yell reformats your filename's cases to make them look *good*.

Also, the program has been done in Visual Basic and has been optimized for efficient working with minimal resource usage.

Suggested Area Of Use:

• To be used on your file server, if it is to be published, maybe on a FTP or a HTTP server. This will increase the readability of your disk contents there by increasing productivity.
• To be used on the big collection of files (DOC, JPG, MP3 files etc.), before they are burned on a CD etc., so that it is easy on the eyes of the end-user.
• Simply on your hard-disk to make your hard-disk look more civilized :o)

Do tell me if you are successful/unsuccessful in deploying this software on any other platforms too, as currently it has been tested only on Windows 98 platform.

If the errors occurred while beginning to rename the files, please let me know of the complete path of the directory in which you tried the process and the exact filename of a few files too.
